The KTM parallel-twin Duke platform has built a cult following for a reason, and across every version, the formula has stayed the same: lightweight, aggressive, unapologetically raw... the kind of bike that makes even a quick ride to the shops feel entertaining.

The stock seat doesn't quite live up to the rest of the bike. Our KTM Duke 790/890 Comfort Seat Trim is built to close that gap, giving the bike the finish it always deserved with classic Kelpi styling, premium materials, and comfort designed for real-world riding.

The Duke platform already looks aggressive from every angle. The goal with this seat wasn't to reinvent the bike, it was to make the seat look like KTM should've delivered it that way from factory. Available in either our signature Diamond pattern or Harfex pattern, with your choice of KTM Orange or Charcoal detail stitching.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Every Kelpi seat trim is built from a global collection of premium materials, selected for performance, durability, and how they actually look installed on the bike.

• High-quality SuedeTouch — matte, grippy, and premium to the touch. Designed to perform properly in riding conditions where gloss materials become slippery and uncomfortable.
  
  
• American Carrara distressed vinyls — rich texture, excellent durability, and sourced from the same supply chain used across premium automotive interiors worldwide.
  
  
• Australian Dunlop foams — locally sourced, tested across Australia's climate extremes, and consistent in performance across the life of the seat.
  
  
• British Coats waxed cotton threads — weather resistant, tension-consistent, and built to hold their finish long-term.

Our comfort foam is density-graded at the time of manufacture to your rider weight. Lighter riders don't bottom out; heavier riders don't end up sitting on foam that compresses flat after an hour. The goal is support that stays consistent across long rides, not foam engineered to feel soft for the first five minutes and collapse by the second fuel stop.

These aren't generic aftermarket materials assembled to hit a price target. Every material is selected for what it contributes to the finished seat, in feel, longevity, and how it ages over time. A Kelpi seat develops character with use rather than deteriorating into it.

Fitment & Installation

This listing is available in two configurations:

• Seat Trim Only — supplied ready to install over your existing OEM seat base.
• Seat Trim + OEM-Equivalent Seat Base — supplied fully fitted and ready to install straight onto the bike.

Choosing the optional seat base means no stapling, no installation work, and no downtime waiting for trimming. You simply swap the seat onto the bike and keep your original OEM seat as a complete spare.

For Seat Trim Only orders, installation requires an air-powered 6–8mm staple gun and flat-head screwdriver. Installation takes approximately 35 minutes and is covered in our video guide.

For customers wanting a professional finish, any local upholsterer can fit the trim for a modest fee. We've worked with trimmers around the world for years now, and the feedback is always the same once they see the quality of the materials and stitching in person.

When placing your order, include your rider weight and confirm whether this is in kg or lbs. Foam density is matched during production and cannot be adjusted once manufacture has started.

All seats are made to order in Brisbane. Please allow approximately 2–4 weeks from order to dispatch. Tracking information will be sent as soon as your order ships.
