The 2015–2018 S1000RR has earned a reputation that the newer generations are still catching up to. Sharp, angular, unmistakable. The bike turns heads whether it's moving or parked, and the crowd around it know exactly what they're looking at.

The stock seat doesn't match that energy. Our S1000RR Comfort Seat Trim is built to close that gap, giving the pre-facelift S1000RR the finishing detail it deserves, with classic Kelpi styling on the rider's seat and one of our favourite pillion designs in the range. The rider's seat come installed with 24mm comfort foam matched to your weight, so the long night rides and morning mountain trips have you sitting plush.

Most seat trim manufacturers treat the pillion as an afterthought, a flat panel covered to match. We don't. The S1000RR is one of our favourite canvases for pillion design in the range, and we treat it accordingly.

The classic Kelpi design on the rider's section flows into a pillion treatment that adds visual interest to the rear of the bike without disrupting the aggressive profile the S1000RR is known for.

Materials & Craftsmanship

Every Kelpi seat trim is built from a global collection of premium materials, chosen for performance, longevity, and how they look on the bike. The S1000RR is a machine with German engineering standards baked into every component. The seat should hold itself to the same standard.

• Italian Alcantara & synthetic suedes, matte, grippy, and premium to the touch. Holds up under riding conditions where gloss materials don't.
• American Carrara distressed vinyls, rich texture and durability sourced from the same mills supplying luxury automotive interiors globally.
• Australian Dunlop foams, locally sourced, tested across Australia's climate range, and consistent in performance across the life of the seat.
• British Coats waxed cotton threads, the finishing detail. Waxed for weather resistance, consistent in tension, and built to last.

Our 24mm comfort foam is density-graded at the time of manufacture to your rider weight. Lighter riders don't bottom out; heavier riders don't sit on something that compresses flat within an hour. The foam is specified to remain consistent across extended stints, not marketing foam that feels right at the shop and deflates by the time you're two hours from home.

These aren't generic aftermarket materials assembled to a price point. Each is selected for what it brings to the finished product, in feel, in durability, and in how it ages. A Kelpi seat develops character over time rather than deteriorating into it.

Fitment & Installation

The trim installs over your existing stock seat base, no modifications to the bike, no specialist fitting required beyond an air-powered 6–8mm staple gun and a flat-head screwdriver. Installation takes around 35 minutes and is covered in our video guide.

For a professional finish, any local upholsterer can handle the fit for a modest fee. We recommend this option without hesitation, you'll get great fitment and a professional's opinion on the quality of work. In five years of building these, we're yet to hear of a trimmer who walked away unimpressed.

All trims are made to order in Brisbane. Allow 2–4 weeks from order to dispatch. You'll receive a tracking update once your seat is on its way.
